Stouffville Reads is an annual gala fundraiser supporting Stouffville Library’s programs and services, inspired by the CBC's Canada Reads.
Each year, the Library invites three Book Champions to defend a title from a themed short list to event guests over cocktails and a buffet dinner. The evening also features a silent auction and an immersive murder mystery dinner theatre experience. After the Champions make their presentations, event attendees vote, the results are tallied, and the Stouffville Reads winning book and Champion are announced.
On Thursday, June 19, 2025, guests will be immersed in an evening of infinite horizons at 19 on the Park, in downtown Stouffville. Community members of all ages are invited to participate in pre-voting at the Library to select their favourite book from this year’s space-themed short list.
Tickets on sale NOW!
- Tickets are available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis at the Library’s front desk. Stouffville Reads 2025 is a 19+ event. Tickets are $85 each and must be prepaid. If you're unable to purchase tickets in person, please contact the Library at 905-642-7323. Final Day to purchase tickets will be June 17.

Pre-Voting at the Library
Help decide the winner of Stouffville Reads 2025! From Monday, May 19 to Tuesday, June 17
Community members are invited to visit the Stouffville Library to view our special display featuring this year’s space-themed shortlist. Cast your vote by dropping a ballot into the box located near the front of the Library.
Alongside the Champion-selected titles, you'll also find a curated selection of space-themed books and films. All pre-votes will be combined with votes from the gala to determine the winning book and Champion, so every vote counts!
