3D Printing is a form of additive manufacturing, using melted plastic and precision machinery to create a real-world model of a digital design.
The Makerspace at WSPL offers 3D printing services for patrons.

Usage Guidelines
- We charge 50¢ per 15 minutes (or $2 per hour) for 3D printing services.
- For online orders, we will email you a quote and wait for your approval.
- The 3D printers use PLA filament.
- Weapons and sexually explicit models are prohibited.
- Models made in PLA plastic are not food/drink safe. Use at your own risk.
- Orders are completed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- We cannot guarantee a completion date for an order.
- On average, an order may take up to 7 days to complete.
- Completed models will be held for one month, and can be picked up in the Makerspace at any time.
- Availability of filament colours can fluctuate over time.
- In the event we do not have the colour you requested, we will contact you for a second choice.
- We may adjust the size, infill, and other print parameters of your model in order to shorten the print size.
- Prints must not exceed 4 hours of printing time.
- If your model needs to be printed exactly as-is with no modifications, make sure to note that in your submission.
- The Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.
