Summer Reading Club

Interested in keeping up with your reading over the summer? The Summer Reading Club offers a great opportunity to do just that! The Summer Reading Club is a great way to keep reading, share your passions, and find new activities over the summer.

Over the summer, you can log in your reading times, complete weekly activities, and write book reviews. These activities will earn you tickets can be submitted for any of our prize options online for a chance to win!

Interested in keeping your child(ren) engaged in reading over the summer? The Summer Reading Club offers a great opportunity to do just that! The Summer Reading Club aims to strengthen children's reading by encouraging reading habits and promoting reading reflections. 

Over the summer, children can earn raffle tickets for logging in their reading times and completing weekly activities. These tickets can be submitted for any of our prize options online each week, for a chance to win! 

You can access your reading logs, write reviews, complete missions, and play games through the Library's website at https://wsplibrary.readsquared.com/ 

Children will also be able to come in person during the reporting hours to participate in fun activities and read with a volunteer. 

How to register: 

  1. Register at https://wsplibrary.readsquared.com/Register.aspx
  2. Follow the prompts on the screen to create your account. 
  3. TA DA! You are in and have your first badge for registering!

How to participate: 

  1. Check out books from the Library and track how many hours you read! (if you don't have a Library Card, don't worry, just come to the Library with a parent or gaurdian and get one - it's free)
  2. Check out the reading logs, book reviews, missions, and games on the app or at https://wsplibrary.readsquared.com/ 
  3. Come to the Library and report on what you have read to staff or a reading buddy volunteer during our reporting hours.
  4. Use your points to enter into weekly draws for awesome prizes.
  5. HAVE FUN!

Other information: 

  • Can't commit to the program all summer? You can choose what weeks work best for you! 
  • Traveling this summer? The program is offered across Canada and online! You can go to any public library near you if you have a library card! 
  • Child(ren) must be between the ages of 3-12 to join the club.
